To find out a bit more about him, we got him to answer a few questions:
What is your role at Allsop?
I am a UX/UI Designer. It’s my job to make sure our work looks great aesthetically and functions in a way that makes sense for users from the get-go.
What made you pursue a career in UX/UI Design?
From even my early teenage years I was obsessed with web design. That juvenile passion drove me towards my education and a professional career in the area of Web design/Development. From there it grew into the psychology behind UI design from the point of view of driving customer engagement and user focus on e-commerce platforms. That knowledge then itself evolved into the broader disciplines behind UX design. I just love the creative process of taking a list of very black and white design specs and then painting that onto an interactive, digital canvas. UX is also a very social discipline, which is fantastic for me as I thrive on bouncing ideas back and forth with other people.
What are your first impressions of working at Allsop?
Everyone is very welcoming and they’ve made it really easy to feel comfortable right away. There really is that drive and passion in their work that so many other places try to fake and they seem to really try and foster that mindset and atmosphere, which is great!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Travelling with my wife. Pup-socials (good boys and good drinks, what could be better?). Wondering what I’m going to watch now that I’ve demolished a whole season on Netflix in one sitting. Growing an impressive back catalogue of games I’ll absolutely never get around to playing no matter how much I try and convince myself otherwise.
