We are delighted to have recently welcomed Chris to the Allsop team in the role of QA Software Tester.
As a newbie we got him to answer a few questions, to find out a bit more about him:
What is your role at Allsop?
I am a QA Software Tester. It’s my job to test any new software that is being developed to issue that the software is working as intended and that there are no bugs present in the software release.
What made you pursue your chosen career?
Originally I wanted to go into the area of software development, however, during my time at university, I found that I loved the area of software testing as I enjoy trying to find the edge cases that would cause issues within the software, due to it not being taken into consideration when being developed.
What are your first impressions of working at Allsop?
I’ve really enjoyed my time so far working at Allsop. Everyone at Allsop is very welcoming and it did not take long feel like I was part of the team. I have found at Allsop there the is real drive and focus on completing all work to the highest standards and ensuring that the customer is happy with both the software created and experience they had during its development.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I currently play for the Belfast Trojans on their American Flag Football team. Going hiking in the Mourne Mountains which is then usually followed by an ice cream. Playing golf when the weather is good. Going to Ulster rugby matches. I am also massive foodie which sadly as a result means that I also do lots of running to allow me to eat all of the new foods I like to try.
